ASM Boston is pleased to invite you to our dinner meeting on Nov. 30
Mr. Lawrence A Somrack
NSL Analytical Services, Inc.
“NiCr-Alloy Powder Reuse & Testing Results for Robust Production in Additive Manufacturing”
Abstract: Additive Manufacturing with metal powder has its limitations in how many times powder can be reused and produce quality parts. In the reuse study we will review the powder characterization after multiple runs and look at the Z tensile bars to see what is happening and how to improve the quality with changes in chemistry.
Lawrence A. Somrack is president and owner of NSL Analytical Services, Inc. He attended Myers University (Dyke College) where he received his BSBA in marketing and Baldwin Wallace University, Berea, Ohio where he received his MBA. Larry was Ordained Permanent Deacon with the Catholic Church in 1983 for service to the Diocese of Cleveland.

Larry has served on a number of committees through the years but the most important committee he co-chaired was the Educational where Larry involved young people to get excited about Material Engineering. Larry encourages students to get involved in ASM and in 2014 he involved NSL to be a sponsor at the yearly DOMESDAY Competition at MS&T for college students where Larry is also a judge.
Larry has received many awards throughout his career for leadership and growth initiatives as well as the Distinguished Service Award for the Cleveland Chapter in 2016 and the Robert B. Cummings Distinguished Leadership Award from the Cleveland Technical Societies Council of Cleveland, Ohio.
